In the modern world, Internet based companies and corporations are constantly looking for a way to increase their conversions.  As our world becomes more and more digitalized, the has been an undeniable uprising of Internet based companies and organizations.  With the Internet still being a fairly new thing, these major companies and business had to have started somewhere.  How would a newly developed computer based company rise to the level of legitimacy, and in turn, increase conversions?  Here we will look not only at some of the steps to increasing conversions, but also the ways to legitimatize an Internet based business, both visually and functionally.

First, what are some things that could help an Internet improve it’s legitimacy?

• Well the first and most obvious thing is it’s visual appeal.
• The first thing that will stick out to a customer is the site itself: the font, the images, the effects, the colors.  It’s up to the company weather they want invest the proper amounts of money and know-how into the web design.
• Also, keep your site up to date, accurate, and involved with the customer.
• Let them know that you care what they think of your companies efforts by updating mailing lists, company replies and message boards (if apply).
• This can be a reflection of the companies success, and any customer wants to be apart of a successful company.  Have the ability to lure the customer into your product.

Once you have their attention, you can begin to apply the steps to increasing conversions.

First we will start with some common sense ways to increase conversions.

• One simple way that might easily be passed off as a “given” is to make sure your grammar and spelling are correct.
• Also, display a clearly visible and working telephone number for your customers or prospect customers to reach you with.

Again, these might be considered as an known essential procedures for the current Internet based business, but they are still worth mentioning for the sake of conversions.

The additions of more customer friendly features such as

• audio and visuals are a way to increase conversions,
• along with link to body content.
• It is recommended that current links are periodically checked and maintained.
• Provide an information page with available information about the company, its policy, and maybe even some company history.

These are tips that follow simple procedures and instruction towards a more legitimate Internet site that in the long run will benefit you company and in turn, your wallet.
